  • Steamship Authority Ferry

The Steamship Authority is the ferry to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Boats traveling to Nantucket board in Hyannis and last about two hours. Depending on your needs, vessels are equipped to transport everything from vehicles to bikes to cargo. You’ll want to keep an eye on the Steamship Authority’s Vessel Tracker to plan your trip accordingly. If you choose to leave your car at the terminal and ride, there are three secure parking lots available nearby.

Kick back and relax with one of the ferry’s exciting tours. Hop aboard for a themed adventure like Grand Illumination or Food and Wine Fest while exploring the open Atlantic. Regardless of what you’re utilizing the ferry for, it serves as a beacon for Coastal New England.

Local tip: Frequent ferriers should look into ticket books or multi-ride cards. It’s the easiest and cheapest way to take advantage of the ferry regularly.
